Richard has supplied the technology behind some of the biggest films ever to come out of UK studios, including Gladiator, Chronicles Of Narnia and the Harry Potter franchise.

His career began in 1993 at Aura, where he was instrumental in breaking the new 3D brands that helped fuel the growth of the UK’s then emerging CG industry. One such solution was Softimage, the definitive 3D tool of the 90s. With Richard’s help, Aura became the No.1 Softimage distributor in the UK and he eventually joined Softimage as UK product manager, adding broadcast video experience to his existing technology know-how. There are few people in the UK more experienced in 3D-specific technology.

Richard initially joined Escape Studios in 2006 as a Senior Business Development Manager, and is now Commercial Director. He heads up our technology division, lending his expertise to providing end-to-end solutions especially tailored to the requirements of the CG industry.
