Teradici’s PC-over-IP is a revolutionary display, encryption and remote technology that doesn’t compromise the end-user experience. Artists can access high-resolution, 3D graphics and HD media over an enterprise network in real-time, providing them with a full PC experience, akin to having a PC at their desk.

Teams can easily share dailies without laborious file uploads or expensive shipment of physical media. Dailies are easily reviewed in native playback and true colour, as the PCoIP protocol does not change the final pixel colour values during the compression process.

At the heart of Teradici's PC-over-IP technology is the TERA image engine which uses display compression and low latency propagation to easily manage the graphic-intensive files used in CG. By only transmitting pixels to the remote desktops, all data files remain safe in the storage centre, so while employees and contractors can work with files, they cannot retain or copy them.

By centralising PCs and workstations in a secure data centre, IT managers will find systems will be easier to manage and maintain. This will eliminate the need for desktop workstations, PCs and thin clients, and studios will no longer have to support remote locations. The Teradici set-up is comprised of a host processor and a desktop portal. The host processor easily integrates within a CPU infrastructure, including PC blades, server blades or rack-mounted PCs. It communicates over a standard enterprise IP network to the desktop portal, where users can access the files in real-time.
